Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Inside the extension: your focus sessions, streak, settings, and tab metadata stay in Chrome storage on your device. We never collect the sites you visit, your tab URLs or titles, or anything you type.
• Anonymous usage stats:so we can see what helps and make the app better, the extension sends a small set of anonymous events. Examples: a focus session started, a Pomodoro started, a trial ended. Each one carries a random install ID and a rough country worked out from your connection. We never receive or store your IP address. There are no tab URLs, no page content, and nothing you type. You can turn this off anytime in the extension Options, under “Share anonymous usage stats”.
• When you purchase Pro: Stripe collects payment info (we never see card numbers). We store your email address, your Stripe customer/subscription ID, and your plan and subscription status in our database so we can verify your license.
• When you send feedback:if you submit feedback from the extension, we store your message, the email you give us (optional), the extension version, and your browser's user-agent string so we can reproduce the issue and reply.
• When you check or restore your license: the extension sends your random user ID to onetabfocus.com over HTTPS. We don't log IP addresses beyond what our host keeps for routine abuse mitigation.
• When you visit this website: we use Vercel Web Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless measurement tool — to count page views and a few link clicks (such as our Product Hunt badge). It records only aggregated, anonymous signals like the page visited, referrer, rough country, and device type. It sets no cookies, doesn't build a profile of you, and doesn't track you across other sites.

What we don't collect

• Tab URLs or titles
• The content of your tabs, or anything you type
• Browsing history
• Your IP address (our analytics never receives it)
• Personal info beyond the email you give us
• Tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking

Who we share data with

We use a small set of service providers to run OneTabFocus. They only get the data they need to do their job:

• Stripe — processes payments. It sees your billing details; we never see your card number.
• Supabase — our database and email sign-in. It stores your account, license, and feedback records, hosted in the United States.
• Resend — sends your post-purchase account-claim email.
• Vercel — hosts the site, keeps standard server request logs, and provides Vercel Web Analytics (aggregated, cookieless page-view metrics for this website).
• PostHog — our product analytics. It receives the anonymous usage events described above, tagged with a random install ID. We send it no IP address and no personal info. Data is stored in the United States. You can opt out in the extension Options.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else.

Sync

The extension uses chrome.storage.sync for your settings, streak, and user ID. That data syncs to your Google account's Chrome sync storage. We have no access to it.

Deletion

Reset everything in the Options page wipes local extension state. To delete your account and billing record, sign in at /login and choose “Delete account”, or email hello@onetabfocus.com. You can also email us to request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Data retention

We keep your account and billing records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need them for tax and legal records. Request deletion any time and we'll remove what we're not legally required to keep.
