Pomodoro that actually locks.
A Pomodoro timer is useless if you can still alt-tab to Twitter the moment your attention drifts. This one enforces the focus phase, holds through the break, and resumes for the next cycle.
Most Pomodoro extensions don't actually lock.
- They're countdowns with notifications.
- They don't change what the browser can do.
- The tab switch is always one keystroke away.
Take a breath. Not a tab break.
- The Hidden chip stays — no temptation to peek.
- A pause screen, not a return to the noise.
- Skip the break early by holding the play button.
Lock. Break. Re-lock.
Pomodoro mode runs configurable focus and break cycles. The lock holds through breaks — you get a pause screen, not a return to distraction. The focus phase resumes automatically.
- 01
Configure cycles
Options → Pomodoro. Focus length (default 25), break (5), long break (15), cycles before long (4).
- 02
Start the session
Open the sidebar, name your focus, pick Pomodoro mode. Start.
- 03
Focus phase
Every non-focus tab collapses. The countdown runs. Locked like a regular session.
- 04
Break phase
Focus timer ends. The lock holds — a 'Take a breath' screen replaces the countdown. Stretch, breathe, look out the window.
- 05
Repeat
Break ends, the focus countdown returns and the next cycle starts. Same configuration, no friction.
Prefer one long uninterrupted block over short cycles? See deep work mode.

Things people actually ask.
Does OneTabFocus's Pomodoro mode keep my tabs hidden during breaks?
Yes. The lock stays in place through the break — a 'Take a breath' screen replaces the focus countdown so you can pause without slipping back into the noise. When the break ends, focus resumes automatically.
Can I change the Pomodoro defaults?
Yes. Open Options → Sessions → Pomodoro defaults and change focus length (default 25 min), break length (default 5 min), long break length (default 15 min), and how many cycles trigger the long break (default 4).
Is Pomodoro mode included in the free plan?
No. Pomodoro is a Pro feature. Every install starts with a 7-day Pro trial so you can try it before upgrading.
